Cooking Instructions:

  1. Inspect over chickpeas (chana dal) to ensure it is clean and ready to cook.

  2. Fill the bowl with clean water and add chana dal in it. Repeat the process until the water runs clear.

  3. Soak the rinsed chana dal at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours. 

  4. Boil the dal with water for approximately  45 minutes and add a pinch of baking soda.

  5. Heat the oil and  add vegetables such as onion, tomatoes and essential spices  

  6. Add the garam masala, coriander, red chilli, salt and stir until combined. 

  7. Bring the dal to a boil until everything pulls together.

  8. Turn the heat off and stir. Ready to serve.

Recommendation:

Baking soda can be added when cooking beans or dal  to soften the bean/dal in less time than it would take without the baking soda.

Product Storage:

Store bulk chickpeas at cool and dry place to avoid moisture

Place it in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminium foil to preserve it for a long time.
